SACCAGES against waste
Did you know that the textile industry is the second most polluting industry in the world after... oil? Textile generates more than a billion tons of CO2 equivalent and uses more than 4% of drinking water resources worldwide!
We regularly retrieve excess fabrics and materials that would go straight to the landfill, remodeling them and re-offering them to consumers in beautiful designs. Then we donate the leftover fabrics that will be transformed by grinding and unraveling them into new raw material, a fiber that can eventually be turned again. So goes the life cycle of Saccages.
Thanks to our eco-donors who leave us their samples and leftovers, we manage to improve our planet one bag at a time by preventing beautiful accessories that are more than 89% environmentally friendly.
Saccages is a concrete project to fight against waste and pollution. With our bags, we promote the circular economy by giving new life to materials destined for landfill.
Each piece is unique and handmade. The materials recovered are currently leather, vinyl, awning canvas, banners, plastic bags and various fabrics.
